The Air Breeze Wind Turbine: Powered by Air
At Impact Battery you can harness the power of the wind! While both wind and solar power are free sources of energy, wind has the advantage in that it can operate 24/7. Southwest Wind Power has created an incredibly powerful and economical wind turbine in the AIR BREEZE.

How Does an Air Breeze Wind Turbine Work?
They operate off the same design or concept as the waterwheel. By capturing the velocity of moving water a wheel will spin around some gears attached to a giant stone that crushes wheat, for example. This is referred to as mechanical energy since the water is directly powering the grinding stone. With a wind generator you have propeller shaped fins, instead of a wheel, that catches the wind and converts it to kinetic energy. A turbine is attached to the spinning propeller shaft which creates electricity.
These wind machines can be called a: wind generator, wind turbine, aerogenerator, wind energy converter (WEC), or wind power unit (WPU).
Using a combination of wind, solar and when ever possible water as sources of energy will substantially reduce household power costs. Each has an achilles heel: wind stops blowing, water stops running and the sun is not always shining. We recommend creating a renewable power generating station by combining your resources. Your energy savings will be worth it in the end.
