We have had some reports that this MotoBatt MB16A does not fit some of the 1997 Honda VT1100 C1 Shadow Spirit bikes. There seems to be two points of concern, the MB16A sealed upgrade has a slightly different shape to the 'T' structure and Honda may have used a variant of the original battery tray which exasperates the slight alteration to the MotoBatt footprint. Some 1997 Shadow Spirit owners indicate they have used this battery without any fitment issues, while others have indicated it will not sit low enough in the tray. We feel it is our duty to report what our customers have shared and provide opportunity to avoid any fitment issues. If you are unsure order the HUB16A-A(AB).
