The Yuasa YTX5L-BS battery is also known by the stock code of YUAM32X5B. It is made in Taiwan and was originally a 4 Ah battery with 80 CCA. The YT5L can also be used as a replacement for this battery and many manufacturers like Adventure Power use the UT5L part number exclusively. Notice also that the YTZ7S is the same physical size but with way more power and amp capacity.

This battery has been a staple in most small engine vehicles for decades. As technology has improved the battery too has been improved.
Taking up equal cubic space, these two batteries can only be differentiated by their part numbers. However, internally there is a substantial difference! The YTZ7S has over 60% higher cold cranking amps with 130 and two more amp hours which is a 50% increase in capacity.
If you feel you must have more power, so to speak, then it is a wise move to upgrade and purchase the Z7S version. Keep in mind many non-OEM manufacturers are presenting battery specs some where in the middle while keeping the 5L designation (and price!).
Replacement and Cross Reference Guide
The EverStart ES5LBS battery is Walmart's replacement brand and part number. Power Sonic uses PTX5L-BS. MotoBatt, a premium motorcycle battery brand that has 62% greater capacity than the YTX5L-BS by Yuasa goes by part number MBTZ7S. MotoCross, a Yuasa Battery Inc. brand, uses the same part number by changes the stock code from YUAM32X5B to M32X5B. Kinetik, a Universal Power Group brand uses APTX5L-BS. Previously they used UT5L-BS with stock code 43000.
