The Tuffcare Challenger Recliner 2040 powered wheelchair requires two (2) 12 Volt 35Ah (U1) batteries. These batteries can be safely charged with our 5A chargers, or for faster charges, our 7A chargers. Gel and AGM batteries require different chargers to charge safely and efficiently. If you choose to purchase Gel replacement batteries, and do not have a charger, be sure to purchase a Gel compatible charger as well. The Challenger 2040 is a reclining mobility chair for those who desire an adjustable seat, so that you don't have to sit in the same position throughout the day.
