Did you know that the ETX Battery line is made in the USA? All ETX batteries are made in Lyons Station, PA by East Penn Deka Manufacturing. The Deka Extreme Power Sport batteries have two distinguishable features: A) They utilize a unique looking solid poured lead post. and B) The battery case uses a matted or textured ABS plastic as opposed to smooth and shiny finish employed by the competition.

The premium quality absorbed glass mat technology (AGM) is ideal for ATVs, motorcycles, personal watercraft (PWC), side-by-sides & snowmobiles. These batteries do not need to be activated as they are precisely filled and charged at the factory. The AGM design enables a lower self-discharge rate for maximum season-to-season reliability.

The Power Sports line has eleven (11) popular part numbers. From smallest to largest they are: ETX9, EXT12, ETX14, ETX14L, ETX15, EXT15L, ETX16, ETX16L, EXT18L, ETX20L and ETX30L

Is This The Battery That Came With my Bike?

There is a good chance that if you own a newer Harley Davidson motorcycle or certain BMW's that the East Penn Deka battery will be the power source giving life to your ride.

Both Harley and BMW will not be using the ETX battery part number. They will be using their own numbering system that corresponds with their company's existing aftermarket parts catalog.

If you are having trouble matching the part numbers and you have no way of viewing an application selector, a surefire method is to take your existing batteries measurements (LxWxH) and note the terminal polarity. Aside from the polarity, no two Deka Sports Power batteries are the same physical size.
