  • What is the difference between a disposable and rechargeable battery?
Disposable batteries, also called single use or primary batteries, are designed to be used once and discarded when the energy has been completely drained. Rechargeable batteries, also called secondary batteries, can be drained and recharged multiple times before losing the ability to hold a charge.

  • Can I recharge alkaline batteries?
Most common household alkaline batteries are single use and should not be placed in a battery charger, though a few alkaline batteries are designed to be recharged. Recharging single-use batteries is extremely dangerous without the proper equipment. Even with the proper equipment, recharging a single use battery will not produce the power or performance of a battery designed to be recharged.
