The XV250 Virago reportedly can get 78 MPG and weighs a little over 300 lbs dry. According to our battery books the 250 Virago was produced from 1995 thru 2003, however Wikipedia reports the last model was made in 2007 before changing over to the V-Star 250 in 2008. The original Yamaha Virago 250 battery was either the Yuasa 12N10-3A-2 or the YB10L-A2 wet conventional style. Since we do not have an official record of the XV250 battery used after 2003 we can only speculate that it remained the same until informed otherwise.

For those of you that prefer the comforts and benefits of a sealed AGM battery, MotoBatt makes the sealed MB10U. It arrives fully charged and ready to install! We guarantee that the batteries listed on this page will fit your XV250 Virago. We also promise to provide the best replacement batteries available in the aftermarket. Competitive prices, long warranties, and overall great value; that's our commitment to ensuring you receive a Yamaha Virago 250 battery that lasts a long time.

For the entire 8 years the XV250 was in production, the battery found in the bike never changed. This is unusual, but much appreciated! This means the following years are represented on this page for the 250 Virago: 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003.

If the Wikipedia report is correct, this battery could also fit years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. But again these last years do not appear in our cross-reference books, so please double check sizing!
