UPG 24 Volt Battery Charger 24BC5000TF-1 Replacement
The original fan cooled Universal Power 24BC5000TFG-1 24 Volt 5 Amp AGM Battery Charger was best suited for mobility scooters and wheelchairs. It came with a standard 3 pin XLR connector that will work with most all mobility applications except for Everest-Jennings units. The charger is intended to be connected while the wheelchair or scooter is not being used. This will keep the batteries healthy, and increases their life expectancy. Universal part number 71704.
When UPG downgraded to a cheaper variation we decided to act. Their design changed to a non-fan-cooled unit that is near double the physical size now and made of a plastic housing vs. the original aluminum housing. We felt it best to offer a premium unit made by Schauer, but at the lower UPG price point.
