FAQs About This Product

Ask a Question

  • I'm looking for a charger for two boat batteries. I'm told I need a 24v. I can't see by the picture on how it connects. Is there a clamp like end? Or other.

These panels come with bare wire ends. You would need to attach your own connector of choice, preferably after a charge controller. If you have an AC outlet near by you may consider the waterproof Noco Genius Gen2 charger or American made Pro Charging Systems SS2.

  • Is there a diode in the panel to prevent back-current during the night?
Yes these panels have blocking diodes to prevent reverse current flow.

  • I just bought a 24 volt trolling motor and have my boat stored where their is no electric to plug in a house charger. what kind of solar charging system will I need to charge my batteries throughout the week so I will have fully charged batteries?

It really depends on the capacity of the batteries and how long you were trolling. This 10A panel only produces about 1/3 of an amp per hour which translates to a couple amps per day max. You may need a couple of these in parallel or a couple of the larger 12V 30W panels connected in series.

One thing that is certain is that you will need a charge controller. The SS-10L-24V is our smallest 24V one available.
