Harley Davidson OEM batteries have a flush mount front terminal design making it easy to install using the short connector leads. The brands that we list as Harley Davidson motorcycle batteries will be flush mount or come with a spacer to allow a traditional terminal to become flush with the front of the battery.
All of the original HD part numbers start with five numbers, followed by a dash and two numbers. As new versions of Harley batteries come to market, they append a letter after the final two digits. For Example 65989-97C is the fourth generation of the base number 65989-97. The second a third versions included the letter A and then the letter B.

Now that you have purchased the best battery for your bike, you are going to need the perfect Harley Davidson Motorcycle Battery Tender. There are many popular brands sold in the big box stores and industry part stores, but how many of those guys have actually put their recommendations to the test?
We have! We know what really works and what leaves your battery left wanting. Our top three brands (in no specific order) are Pulse Tech Xtreme, Noco Genius and BatteryMINDer. If your Harley Davidson batteries are AGMs, we highly recommend the XC100-P by PulseTech. It is also our favorite desulfating charger. If you have many different types of batteries such as lithium, sealed lead acid, AGM for example then the G3500 by Noco is the perfect option and a tremendous value. The BatteryMINDer model 1510 is an excellent desulfating maintainer.
Ever been stranded on the side of the road because your battery took a crap?
There is no need to pay that nasty tow bill again. Buy a pocket sized lithium jump starter and leave it on your bike. These jump chargers will not only get you out of a jam but they can be used daily to charge your smart phone and other 5V or 12V devices. There are two elite and ultra-safe models that stand out and compete head-to-head: the Weego JS12 and the Genius GB40. Both brands have several other sizes to choose from, but these are by far the most popular and widely used to jump charge bikes, boats, cars and small pickup trucks. they are worth every penny!
