This Schauer replacement golf cart charger is specifically designed to work with Club Car golf carts. The hardwired six foot output cord comes standard with the 3 pin round Club Car connector. The JAC1548 features an auto-sensing universal input from 100-240VAC. It is perfect for wet cell, gel and AGM style deep cycle batteries. The JAC1548 is made with a durable aluminum case and has flanges for mounting.

OBC Function

The round three pin Club Car pig tail connector has a diode that energizes the third pin allowing the charger to take full control of the charging rather than the Club Cars on board computer. On a small percentage of cart models made after around 2006 you may need to install a 10 or 12 gauge jumper wire from the negative terminal of the battery to the negative port on the back of the female receptacle. This wire is included with the charger. This will fully disengage the on board computer (OBC) during charging and allow the Schauer smart charger to have full and optimized control.
