FAQs About This Product

Ask a Question

  • Are these batteries OK being left on a regular trickle charger?

The term Trickle Charger is from the 60's and is often used generically to mean float charger or smart charger. A true trickle charger can actually cause harm to your batteries, but if it is a smart charger that drops into a float stage then it is 100% OK to be left on the batteries.

  • Can you charge these batteries in the conventional way (a standard 1-2 amp charger)?

It is best to use a 12V smart charger that is between 0.75 to 2.5A output. The charger will automatically adjust its max output to what the battery requires and is safe to leave on the battery indefinitely. Consider the affordable and very reliable CM1A by Schauer or the Cadillac of chargers the XC100-P by PulseTech. Both do extremely well on sealed AGM batteries.
