The 12-Volt Peg Perego John Deere Gator XUV550 will arrive with the wider 12V 12Ah battery in the box. The tractors arrive with the narrower 12V 8Ah battery. This listing is for the wide version only, not the narrow version.
Please note: This purchase replaces and upgrades the battery inside the blue case only. It DOES NOT include the blue case or wire harness.
You will have to open your blue case, remove the old black battery and insert the new more powerful battery.

Currently, Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co. Ltd. makes batteries for Peg Perego. Part number WP12-12 will appear below the Perego logo.
Previous 12V 12Ah battery part numbers iuncluded: IAKB0501, DJW12-12HD, DMU12-12, NP12-12, RT12120D, UB12150, WP12-12.
Lasts Longer, Cost Less
By replacing the battery inside your blue case and re-using your existing wire harness you will save money and be a good steward of the envirnment.
If your battery is dead, the rest of the battery system is still perfectly fine. It would be a shame to needlessly throw it away.
The only time repalcing the inner battery would not be your best option is when you desire a 2nd or 3rd battery.
It would be an annoyance to open the case everytime your battery needs charging to swap out batteries. For these situations select the plug-n-play option (the one that includes the entire system: wire harness, battery and case).

The battery size or part number is not exclusive to the John Deere Gator. In fact, all the 12V Perego ride-on-toys can accomodate the larger, wider battery. The only criteria is that you already own a 12Ah battery that includes the harness and case. Pop it open and insert this new longer lasting 15Ah battery.
