YB9-B Battery: Kinetik AP9-B-BS Dry Charge Battery

The Kinetik AP9-B-BS dry charge battery matches the OE specifications of the conventional wet Yuasa YB9-B battery. It is also Universal Power Groups (UPG) brand name change from what was known as the Adventure Power UTX9A-BS and is an AGM upgrade for the original battery in this size known by the part number 12N9-4B-1.

This dry charge Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM) battery is perfect for individuals that like to have a spare battery sitting on the shelf or want to be the person that is filling, charging and sealing their new battery. Yes, you will need a smart trickle charger to activate--and hopefully then maintain--this battery. Once fully charged and sealed this dry charge Kinetik AGM battery becomes non-spillable and leak proof. The Kinetik AP series batteries are designed for and are rugged enough for Extreme Adventures!

This is NOT the OEM Yuasa battery. As the image depicts, it is a Kinetik replacement battery made by UPG. The YB9-B part number is used to provide relevance when cross referencing as it was the original part number found in machines using this battery size. UPG used to brand their power sport batteries with the Adventure Power (AP) label and updated this line in 2016 to reflect the Kinetik brand which they acquired a couple years previous.
