The TW200 Trailway has been in production for over 35 years and is still going strong! During this span, the original equipment Yamaha TW200 battery has not changed.
Yamaha still uses the same conventional-style, acid-filled YB7C-A motorcycle battery. The desire to install an AGM battery has left riders wanting. Many turn to less-than-ideal solutions.
The YTZ7S is NOT the Best AGM Battery for Your TW200
Some years ago, a TW200 forum user asked if anyone had experience / advice about using an AGM battery for their bike. Specifically, it went on to question if the YTZ7S, despite being physically smaller in every direction had worked for anybody.
Prior to 2023, the only “bush fix” AGM option for your Yamaha TW200 trailway was to shimmy in a YTZ7S battery.
The original equipment battery, Yuasa YB7C-A, and the sealed AGM battery, YTZ7S, are similar in Amp Hour and CCA output. However, the YTZ7S is just not as long. Not as wide. And not as tall.

Innocently typing the search phrase Barbie Power Wheels Battery could turn out to be a lesson in futility. The broad search term will key up several battery options—four to be specific. If you are unaware or not paying attention you could easily purchase the wrong battery.
As an Authorized Power Wheels Service Center, we thought it would be helpful to provide a detailed list matching toy models to the correct battery.
You see, Mattel has licensed the Barbie trademark for its Power Wheels line since the toys were first created in the early 80’s. They make a small 6-volt Power Wheels battery for their Fisher-Price preschool Barbie toys. A larger 6-volt dual Barbie battery for the advanced pre-school line. And two different 12-volt batteries for the older kid’s toys.
Within each of those age groups you’ll find, for example, a Barbie Power Wheels Jeep. Knowing which Jeep model is essential to selecting the

The chart below identifies compatible batteries for MotoBatt.
MotoBatt’s unique terminal and spacer system reduces the total number of batteries required to equal the total number of original equipment (OE) battery part numbers. This can make it challenging to switch from a MotoBatt battery to another brand.
We highly suggest using the MotoBatt Equivalent Vehicle Selector to better match the correct motorcycle battery.
The cross reference is separated into 5 sections and located below the year, make, model battery finder. The sections are broken down by chemistry and target application. Within each you will find the MotoBatt part number and relative information such as terminal configuration.
The chart will also match their AGM motorcycle batteries to a different color variation or upgraded chemistry version such as MotoBatt's lithium or Hybrid batteries. OE part numbers will display all available replacement brands such as Yuasa MotoCross, East Penn Deka (Magna Power), Moto Classic, Odyssey,

When it comes to replacing batteries for ride-on-toys it is important to use the correct search terms. Unknowingly mixing terminology, such as, John Deere Power Wheels battery, can lead to trouble. The results can be heartbreaking.
Take me to the 5 STEPS so I can skip over the English lesson!
It is Called Anthimeria. It Can Be a Good Thing.
What happens when a brands name becomes synonymous with its industry? For example, you may find yourself saying “let me Google that.” Despite being one of many search engines, Google has become so dominant their name is often used as a verb for online search.
Other examples include asking for a Kleenex instead of facial tissue or Xerox for photocopy (OK. That one may only be relevant for any grandparents reading this). There is a term for this.
I believe you, it's going to be a big deal. Take me to the 5 STEPS so I know I am buying

Yes, lithium-ion jump starters have more advantages going for them than their lead-acid counterparts. To be honest, there really isn’t much of a debate here. Lithium jump starters are better. Here is why...
Benefits of Lithium Jump Starters
- Smaller Size– Lithium has a much higher energy density than lead. This increased power potential allows for a much smaller sample to produce the same amount of power. Some of the smaller lithium jumpstarters can fit in your pocket!
- Not as Heavy – Lithium weighs a fraction the weight of lead. The weight savings to a comparable lead acid jump starter can be as higher as 70%.
- Retains Charge Longer – The natural discharge rate of lithium is incredibly slower than lead. A lead-acid based jumper can lose its ability to function after 3-6 months in storage. Lithium jump starters can be viable up to two years later.
Let’s face it, if your jump starter is solely intended to be used for emergency operations, it will be stowed away in some compartment in your

Before we share what, we believe is the best group 48 automotive battery, we feel it would be helpful to shine some light on what buyers find most confusing so you can confidently compare apples to apples (i.e. battery to battery).
BCI Group 48 Battery Background Information
The BCI group 48 battery is widely used by car and light truck manufacturers all over the world. But it is one of those products that has a bunch of industry jargon associated with its naming. To the average Joe this can cause confusion. To the new automotive associate, it causes confusion.
Let’s clear some of that up to help build confidence and empower you as you select your replacement battery.
Example Part Number: ODP-AGM48 H6 L3
- ODP – Refers to the battery manufacturer. In this case Odyssey Battery.
- AGM – Indicates the type of battery. In this case a sealed Absorbed Glass Matt
- 48 – The Battery Council International (BCI) group number designation to ensure standardization
- H6 – is the DIN Code or Deutsches Institut

Have you noticed that lithium battery sponsors are lining up some big names in the bass fishing world?
Bassmaster Elite Series Pro, Patrick Walters, touts Relion. Bill Weidler pitches Impulse lithium batteries. Clark Wendlandt, the Bassmaster 2020 Angler of the Year, is sponsored by Lithium Pro. Same goes for Ott Defoe.
These are some big names in the fishing world singing the praises of lithium. Albeit these accolades probably have some Benjamin’s written on them.
On the surface, and despite the obvious sponsorships, the push towards this new power source seems to make sense. There are several observed advantages to lithium technologies.
But at the end of the day you, as an avid angler, must ask yourself, do I really need lithium marine batteries in my boat? Will these lithium marine batteries truly offer a better experience on the water?
Ultimately, it really comes down to memories and money. For most of us, money still matters. To that end, can doubling or tripling the upfront out-of-pocket
